Clubs and Activities
Fun-development provides a range of clubs for primary school children designed and catered to schools’ individual requirements. Our school clubs include breakfast and after school, along with a range of inclusive sports and arts and crafts clubs. Our provision is continuously adapting to government guidelines on Covid-19.
NEW! Easter Clubs
We’re delighted to offer sports, crafts and drama sessions for children at Cannon Lane Primary School in Pinner during the Easter holiday.
- A wide range of sports will be included such as football, basketball, cricket, rounders, athletics and yoga. Children will learn new techniques to further their skillset and knowledge. Sessions are planned to meet the needs of individual children and we encourage good practice and sportsmanship at all times.
- Bursting with fun arts and crafts activities to enjoy indoors and outdoors, these sessions include the use of natural and local materials for children to design and create with in a stimulating environment. From building catapults and parachutes, to planting pizza gardens and making leaf lanterns, your child will have a great time being innovative with others out in the fresh air.
- Building your child’s confidence, communication and concentration through a variety of exciting drama methods, your child will explore their surroundings through a combination of techniques such as soundscape, soliloquy, mime and improvisation. The outdoor setting provides an ideal storytelling setting for your child to use their imagination and discover their inner actor whilst socialising with others.
Please contact us if you are interested in registering your child for any of these sessions. Sessions are not weather dependent.
Staff are experienced in working with children of all ages and they are DBS checked and Paediatric First Aid Trained. They have also undergone a Covid-19 awareness course; strict hygiene procedures will be in place throughout the sessions.
Children are to meet us at the main entrance of Cannon Lane Primary School. The children will need to be dressed in comfortable clothing and footwear (ideally trainers) allowing for ease of movement. Clothing should be suitable for all weather as sessions will be outdoors as much as possible. Your child should bring a packed lunch, snack and drink to each session.
At fun-development, we believe that providing a bespoke service to each school ensures that the school receives a service that is suited to families within the local community.
We also offer a lunchtime club that is accessible to all children. Lunchtimes are an important part of the day – a time for children to explore new friendships and develop their skills, talents and creativity. Our structured lunchtime activities give children an opportunity to let their hair down and have fun in the playground with the adults they have grown to know and trust through the clubs.
Our Breakfast Clubs involve a variety of team and individual learning games; stimulating board games such as chess, draughts and snakes and ladders, reading corners for down time, activities to help with social skills and teamwork, word games to improve literacy and number games to improve numeracy.
Children also have the option of a healthy breakfast to kick start their school day.
After School Child Care Clubs
Our After School Child Care Clubs are tailored to meet the needs of each school. Children can take part in lots of outdoor activities such as sports and nature walks. Children also will have the opportunity to play board games or enjoy some arts and crafts, read a book or do their homework. Activities are time-tabled to ensure a variety of experiences.
Children attending after school child care clubs will receive a healthy snack and drink during the club sessions.
Sports and Arts and Crafts Activities
Alongside these activities, children will also have the opportunity to participate in different sporting activities throughout the week. These include football, basketball, multi-sports, Kwik cricket, dance and other team games, including child led activities to encourage creative freedom and thought. We also provide arts and crafts clubs.
