Fun-development can support school staff to upskill their PE teaching. We can do this through planning together, team-teaching and supportive observations to work on next steps. We are also available to deliver INSET sessions to staff. This includes effective behaviour management strategies during PE lessons.
Working hand in hand with schools and staff
PE presents a unique challenge to even the most experienced teachers because it involves a variety of subject and sport specific knowledge and skills. Fun-development staff have the expertise to support school staff in upskilling their PE lessons. From laying down the foundations of early movement development techniques for Reception aged children, through to exhilarating independent and team sports as the children get older; we can guide teachers through the effective implementation of the primary curriculum.
We can plan with teachers and also engage in team-teaching and supportive observations aimed at developing the quality of teaching and learning in PE. Through our fifteen years of experience in schools, we have also come to appreciate that clear and consistent routines need to be adapted from the classroom to the indoor and outside spaces used for PE. We will share strategies to help ensure that the behaviour and structures within PE lessons are in place to maximise all children’s enjoyment learning.
